The Burlington County Commissioners and the County Department of Economic Development and Regional Planning are teaming up with the Willingboro Township to host an upcoming business forum dedicated to helping local businesses recover and new ones to get off the ground and grow.

Known as the How to Do Business in Burlington County business forum, the interactive workshop and panel discussion will provide business owners with information on a host of opportunities and programs, including available COVID-19 assistance, low and zero-interest financing, redevelopment incentives and common legal and regulatory matters businesses must navigate.

The forum is scheduled for Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at the John F. Kennedy Center, 429 Kennedy Way, Willingboro. It will be moderated by Nicole Doss, CEO and Founder of The Prestige Society.

“Burlington County is a fantastic place to live and work and operate a business and we’re thrilled to partner with Willingboro and the Burlington County Department of Economic Development and Regional Planning to provide our local businesses with the information and answers they need to succeed and grow,” said Burlington County Commissioner Felicia Hopson, who is the Commissioners’ liaison for Economic Development. “Whether you’re an established business owner or just getting started, there is information available to help you navigate your way through the process, so we’re encouraging business owners to register today.”

This is the first time the County has partnered with a local municipality to host a business forum.

Earlier this summer, the County launched a new initiative with the Burlington County Regional Chamber of Commerce to host periodic business seminars to update business owners with the latest information about assistance programs, workforce development and regulatory matters.

“Now, more than ever, it is important for all levels of government to work together and help businesses recover and grow, and this forum will walk business owners through what assistance is available and how to apply,” said Willingboro Mayor Tiffani Worthy.  “Attendees can also learn more about the process of opening a business in New Jersey and how to navigate licensing and permitting requirements and local planning and zoning boards. We know this information can be critical, so we want businesses to have easy access.”

The forum is free for Burlington County businesses, but owners are asked to register online in advance at https://burlingtoncountynj.formstack.com/forms/doing_business_in_burlington_county
