Berlin Community Schools offers practice bus rides and walking tours for students

Tours will take place August 26 and 31 in the morning and afternoon.

Berlin Community School (BCS) is offering practice bus runs and walk through tours for new and returning elementary school students. These practice runs are a great opportunity for any student (or parent) nervous about their child riding the bus for the first time or for those returning to riding a bus after being remote last school year.

Students eligible to ride a bus are invited to participate in a practice ride from their assigned stop to Berlin Community School accompanied by one parent. After arrival at BCS, students and parents can participate in a walking tour of the building led by some of our middle school student leaders. Masks are mandatory for all bus riders.

Walkers and students frequently dropped off by parents are also invited to attend the walking tours and are asked to enter through the Middle School entrance.

On Thursday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 31, buses will start running at 8:30 a.m. and at 12 p.m. Walking tours will be held at the BCS at 9:15 a.m. and at 12:45 p.m.
