The health and safety of Washington Township residents are a top priority for me and my administration. I want it known that you are in our thoughts and we are here for you should you need any assistance. My administration and I encourage veterans and their families to consult the VA’s public website for the most current information at www.va.gov/coronavirus. Guidance from local VA medical facilities about their current operating status is available on each facility’s website, which can be found through VA’s facility locator tool: www.va.gov/find-locations. The impact COVID-19 has on daily routines may cause unanticipated stress on some veterans. In this time of social distancing, it is important to keep reaching out to those in need of someone to talk to.
For veterans in need, help is available through the following resources:
-
- Veteran Crisis Line at 1 (800) 273-8255 and press 1
- Visiting www.VeteransCrisisLine.Net/Chat
The House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs is in daily communication with VA leadership and has put a resource page for veterans at www.veterans.house.gov/covid-19.
I urge you to continue practicing social distancing if you must leave your home. If you are able to stay home, please do so as to not spread germs. As I stated before, the health and safety of Washington Township residents is extremely important to me and my administration. We are taking all safety precautions so that all of our residents feel safe and secure from the risks of COVID-19. We ask you to do your best to follow all safety precautions to the best of your ability.
Should you need further assistance, please email our Washington Township Director of Senior Programs, Lori Morello at [email protected] or call her at (856) 589-0520 ext. 287. I hope that you continue to be safe and please know that myself and my administration are just a phone call away should you need assistance.
