Both Voorhees Township Public Schools and Eastern Camden County Regional School District will see decreases in state funding next year

Both Voorhees Township Public Schools and Eastern Camden County Regional School District will see decreases in state funding next year, as now known following the release of Gov. Phil Murphy’s 2021 state budget proposal late last month.

Compared to the 2020 fiscal year, VTPS will receive $293,494 less in state aid for the 2021 fiscal year, which is a decrease of approximately 5.6 percent.  The district’s state aid allocation will go from $5,265,788 to $4,972,294.

Meanwhile, Eastern Regional will also lose a significant portion of its state aid next year as well, dropping from $9,099,650 to $8,731,243, which is a decrease of $368,407 or approximately 4.1 percent.
