Mantua Township police patrol summary: Dec. 12 to 18

The following are on file at the Mantua Township Police Department.

Dec. 12

  • Officers took a report for a lost wallet.
  • Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road involving a deer.
  • Patrols took a report for a domestic assault between a married couple. A restraining order was obtained and served.
  • Units took a report for a found wallet in the Timbercrest development.
  • Officers responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Timberline Shopping Center.
  • Patrols responded to a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Main Street in the area of Heritage Road.
  • A bail bondsman surrendered a subject that had warrants out of our town. She was processed and turned over to the county jail.
  • There was a disabled vehicle on Main Street by Center Street that was stuck in the travel lane. We responded and stood by until a tow truck arrived.
  • Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Center Street.
  • Officers responded to a neighbor dispute in the Villages of Berkley.
  • Special Officer Flem arrested a subject on drug related charges. He was processed and released.

Dec. 13

  • Units took a report for a violation of a restraining order. A warrant was issued for the subject and he was arrested later in the day by Westville police. He was processed and lodged in the county jail.
  • Officers took a report for a stolen trailer.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Center Street in the area of New Street.
  • Units responded to a crash on Route 45 in the area of the Wawa involving two vehicles. There was a child with a minor injury and both vehicles needed to be towed.
  • Officers responded to a crash on Main Street in the area of Owens Lane.
  • Officers responded to a crash behind the Lowes shopping center where a tractor trailer truck side-swiped a vehicle.
  • Ptl. Oldrati responded to a vehicle that had broken down on Glassboro Road. After further investigation, he arrested an occupant for drug related charges.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Lambs Road in the area of Tylers Mill Road.
  • Patrols responded to a second crash within thirty minutes of the first crash at Lambs Road and Tylers Mill Road.
  • Units responded to a hit-and-run crash in which a parked car was struck in the parking lot of Wine Warehouse.
  • Officers responded to a violation of a restraining order and arrested the female. She was processed and lodged in the county jail.
  • Patrols responded to a single vehicle crash that overturned on Center Street in the area of New Street.
  • Units responded to two subjects soliciting.
  • Patrols responded to a single vehicle crash involving a deer on Main Street in the area of police headquarters.

Dec. 14

  • Cpl. Hauss and Ptl. Schnarr responded to a vehicle that had run off the road in Wenonah. The driver was arrested for DUI.
  • Officers conducted their monthly car seat safety event where members of the public can stop at the Mantua Fire House and officers can check to see if the car seats are installed properly and safely.
  • Units supervised community service workers who cleaned up litter along Breakneck Road.
  • Patrols assisted NJ State Police with a crash on Route 55 where a vehicle overturned.
  • Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash at the Lowes Shopping Center.
  • Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Mantua Boulevard.
  • Officers responded to a hunting complaint in Sewell.
  • Officers, along with EMS and the fire department, responded to a crash on Breakneck Road. The roadway was shut down for a short period and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
  • An ambulance responding to a crash had struck a deer on Breakneck Road.

Dec. 15

  • Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for drug related charges.
  • Officers responded to an overdose where the victim believed his cocaine was tainted.
  • Units responded to a domestic disturbance between a couple where there were accusations of an assault.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Route 45 by the Telford Inn where one vehicle needed to be towed.
  • Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned up litter along Main Street by New York Avenue.
  • Officers along with the fire department responded to an illegal burn on Firth Drive.
  • Patrols responded to a child custody dispute where the father would not let the children leave to see their mother.
  • Units responded to a person that wanted to harm herself. They were transported to the hospital for treatment.
  • Units responded to shoplifting at the Dollar General.
  • Cpl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants. She was processed and released.

Dec. 16

  • Units responded to an intoxicated male in Wenonah that was laying on his front lawn just after midnight.
  • Patrols responded to shoplifting at the Wawa on Route 45 where a Redbull was stolen.
  • Officers responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Target store.
  • Units responded along with the fire department to a vehicle that had crashed and overturned on Route 55.

Dec. 17

  • Units responded a person that had passed during the night and CPR was started.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Glassboro Road in the area of Center Street. Two vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.
  • Officers responded to the Centre City School for a vehicle that was damaged during the day.
  • Someone came in to the station to report that they were being harassed.
  • Patrols responded to a hit-and-run crash that had occurred on Glassboro Road by Route 55.
  • EMS requested police respond to a call they were on as the patient barricaded themselves in a bedroom and would not come out.
  • Units responded to a crash on Glassboro Road at Tylers Mill Road. Three people were injured and the vehicles needed to be towed from the scene.

Dec. 18

  • Officers responded to a burglary where the victim’s sunroom was broken into.
  • Units assisted a motorist at the super Wawa that had locked their keys in their vehicle.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Mantua Boulevard by Summit Avenue in which a vehicle needed to be towed.
  • Officers took a theft of an ATV which was later located in a nearby retention pond.
  • Units responded to a vehicle that was egged in Wenonah.
  • Patrols responded to a report of a fight on Main Street in the area of Summit Avenue.
  • Officers responded to a crash on Route 45 by the Wawa in which one vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.
  • Officers responded to a crash on Mount Royal Road in the area of Royal Oaks Drive.
  • Units took a report for a theft for a package that was stolen from the front step in Wenonah.
  • Patrols responded to a crash on Harrison Avenue by Eagle Ridge Drive.
  • Ptl Oldrati arrested a subject for outstanding warrants and also found drugs on his person. He was processed and released.
