VAC painting holiday cards for troops

The Voorhees Arts Council is hosting an event Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at it’s location in the Voorhees Town Center, inviting the community to come out and support deployed military troops.

This free event will allow attendees to paint a holiday card and write a special note with the help of art teachers by the VAC. Residents will have the choice to create their own card or choose a template, while getting to make two cards, one for deployed troops and one to keep after the event.

All submitted cards will be entered into a contest run by the VAC, where residents can vote on the best card from Nov. 29 to Dec. 8. When a winning card is selected, the winning card will be sold as holiday greeting cards for a $2 donation.
