Temple Beth Sholom program to highlight Mongolia’s Jewish connection

Temple Beth Sholom HAZAK is meeting on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. at 1901 Kresson Road in Cherry Hill. Kathy Kaplan will present “Sojourns and Synagogues: Mongolia & Its Jewish Connection.” The program showcases the vibrant history, culture and music of this remote country intertwined with its Jewish communities and connections.

Kathy Kaplan is a lecturer with the Camden County Community College and the Life Long Learning Program of the Katz JCC. She has traveled to exotic locations and has won many travel fellowships, including a Fulbright Hays Fellowship. Kathy is a former school media specialist and Hebrew teacher. She lived in Israel for two years and is a Hebrew speaker.
