The Haddon Fortnightly is pleased to partner with The Center at Camden County College, which will present the art lecture series “Tales and Truths: Defining Artists of the Early Republic” this fall.
Lectures will begin at 6 p.m. on five Tuesdays: Sept. 17 and 24, Oct. 15, 22 and 29. All sessions will be held at The Haddon Fortnightly Clubhouse, 301 Kings Highway East.
The program, presented by instructor Monica Zimmerman, will explore the relationships between the new American republic and its artists, including Benjamin West, Charles Wilson Peale, John Lewis Krimmel, Thomas Birch and Samuel F.B. Morse.
The lecture series is free to the public. In order for the Center to notify participants of any cancellations or changes, all participants are asked to register prior to attending.
