Delran Boy Scout Connor Darlington is working toward becoming an Eagle Scout. In the coming weeks, he is hosting two car wash fundraisers to support his Eagle Scout project – building a pond at Delran Intermediate School for class use and to help students learn about the environment and sustainability. Connor is looking for volunteers for the two upcoming car washes, as well as community members to support his project.
The first car wash is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, at Firestone Complete Auto Care, 4037 US-130, Delran. The second event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, at Sunoco Gas Station, 3240 Route 38 and Hartford Road, Mt. Laurel.
Volunteers are greatly appreciated. Food will be provided, and time volunteered can count toward service hours.
