Letter to the Editor: ‘Nothing is more important than our children’s safety’

The start of another school year is upon us and it’s time again to ask yourself one question. Has your Cherry Hill School done everything possible to make your child’s school safe?

Does your Cherry Hill school have 40 to 60 security cameras installed inside and outside? Security cameras that allow the Cherry Hill Police to immediately look inside and outside your child’s school 24/7 plus, security cameras that can record?

Does your Cherry Hill school have door lock-down braces like all Salem County Schools? Does your Cherry Hill school have lock-down door window covers so you can’t see inside a classroom like all Washington Township Schools?

Does your Cherry Hill school incorporate any anti blast glass protection like all Voorhees Schools?

So I can go on and on with questions.  Now, it’s up to you, mom, dad, grandma or grandpa to ask security questions of your Cherry Hill School Board, Cherry Hill principal and Cherry Hill superintendent. Be proactive, not reactive, on the subject of Cherry Hill School Security.

Nothing is more important than our children’s safety and good school security because in life we don’t have a school security redo button to push. Please start asking questions and be proactive not reactive on Cherry Hill school security.
