Members of the Mt. Laurel Area Women’s Club recently visited the home offices of Moorestown Visiting Nurses & Hospice to deliver a $1,000 check in support of Camp Firefly for grieving children.
The camp is presented for a weekend each year at YMCA of the Pines in Medford and is free for the children who attend.
The Moorestown Visiting Nurses & Hospice will also host its Benefit Spirits Night with food, beer, liquor and wine tasting on Friday, Oct. 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Westin, located at 555 Fellowship Road in Mt. Laurel.
The evening will feature food tastings supplied by the area’s top restaurants, and beer, wine and spirits tastings from around the globe.
Sponsored by Benash Liquors of Cherry Hill, this fundraising event draws more than 450 local residents each year.
Proceeds benefit charitable home care, hospice and counseling programs for residents of South Jersey, including Camp Firefly for grieving children.
Tickets are $60, and sponsorship packages available.
