The Promenade at Sagemore shopping center has announced its 16th annual Summer Concert Series.
This year’s series will run from July 3 to Aug. 28 on every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Music fans of all ages are invited to enjoy a variety of styles including popular rock and roll, country, blues and more.
All concerts during The Promenade’s Summer Concert Series are free to visitors and will take place in Promenade’s center court with plenty of room for dancing or sitting in lawn chairs, while having dinner from nearby restaurant.
The Promenade is pet friendly too.
Kicking off the season on July 3 is The Big Takeover, playing original music rooted in reggae and Jamaican pop.
On July 10, Jenny Barnes & The Great Unknown treats listeners to original and heartfelt blues.
Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Craig Bickhardt Trio w/Tommy Geddes will perform American 1960s folk music on July 17.
On July 24, folks can enjoy 1970s original rock with Almhouse.
July 31 features the bluegrass sounds of Lonesome Turnpike Ramblers.
This Way To The Egress entertains on Aug. 7 with an alchemy of sounds made modern with those of the past.
Aug. 14 features the Spencer Pheil Band, bridging the styles of jazz, country, folk and roots music.
On Aug. 21, Jersey’s own Ginger Coyle Band performs her own brand of catchy, uplifting tunes and more.
The Aug. 28 finale features the funky soul of Philadelphia’s My Funky Brethren.
The Promenade also annually supports Project Backpack and servers as a drop-off collection stop for backpacks and school supplies going to help students of need in the local region have a more successful return to school.
Donations can be brought daily to Concierge Services during the summer, or to the event table at the Summer Concert Series on Wednesday nights.
