Main Street’s “white/pink” substance found “non-hazardous,” says County HazMat team

The Medford Township Fire Department and the Burlington County HazMat Team were notified to investigate an unknown white/pink powder on the evening of July 25.

The following information is on file with the Medford Township Police Department: 

On Wednesday, July 25 at 7:32 p.m., the Medford Township Police responded to the 100 Block of South Main Street following a report of a landlord/tenant dispute. While on location, an unknown white/pink powdered substance was found around the perimeter of the property.

The Medford Township Fire Department and the Burlington County HazMat Team were notified and responded to investigate. One resident from the building was evacuated for a short time, while personnel investigated the incident. The substance was collected, tested, and ultimately deemed a non-hazardous material by the Burlington County HazMat Team.
