When the Fourth of July comes around, lawn-chair users and hot-dog eaters can be seen below a sky lit by fireworks. So the question is: Where will you be when you find yourself in a lawn chair with a hot dog while enjoying a fireworks show? No need to worry if your town isn’t celebrating the festivities this year. Luckily, you live in an area that has plenty from which to choose.
Below are four towns throughout the Pinelands where you can visit with your family to enjoy festivities such as live music, food trucks, brews and of course, fireworks.
Medford Township 2019 Independence Day Fireworks
Wednesday, July 3 at 6 p.m. at Freedom Park, located at 86 Union St.
The Medford Celebrates Foundation Trustees, along with a crew of volunteers, are preparing for Medford Township’s 2019 Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza. The festivities will include live music featuring pop and rock band No Commitment, a kid’s activity zone, and a variety of food truck and other food vendors selling a selection of foods and treats.
All who attend can make their donations at tents and tables at Freedom Park, or by visiting the Foundation website www.medfordcelebrates.org.
Tuckerton Seaport July 4th Celebration
Thursday, July 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Tuckerton Seaport, 120 W. Main St, Tuckerton.
Visitors from all over the Pinelands can enjoy a fireworks show with food trucks and brews. The event is organized by the Pinelands July 4th Fireworks Committee and Tuckerton Seaport. End the day with fireworks over the lake at dusk, a little after 9 p.m. Explore the Tuckerton Seaport’s 40 acres of family fun, featuring maritime activities, historic and recreated buildings, live animals, a boardwalk, miniature golf course and exhibits. Southampton Township Annual Fireworks
Saturday, July 13 at Red Lion Road, Southampton Township.
Southampton’s fireworks start at dusk, around 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. This is a free event. Fireworks can be seen from all over the town. Find more information on the Southampton Township Annual Fireworks Facebook page or call the township at (609) 859-2736.Â
Town of Hammonton Independence Day Fireworks
Thursday, July 4 from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Lake Park.
Hammonton is hosting a fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day. The fireworks can be viewed from the Hammonton Lake Park area where visitors can bring chairs or blankets and set up for a spectacular show.
