Obituary: Eleanor “Lynn” Pharo

Eleanor “Lynn” (nee Metzger) Pharo died on June 10 at the age of 92. Lynn was a longtime resident of Moorestown and very active in the community. She served both as a member of the board of trustees and as treasurer of the Cinnaminson Home. Lynn served on the board of the Moorestown Community House, was a member of Moorestown Chapter of DAR and volunteered for Contact of Burlington County. The First  Presbyterian Church of Moorestown played an important role in her life, and she took on many roles there.

Lynn’s husband, Warren Everett Pharo, predeceased her. She is survived by a son, John Holbrook Pharo, a daughter, Jo Anne Pharo Freed and her husband, Chester William. The burial will be private at the Presbyterian Cemetery. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 2:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Mooretown located at 101 Bridgeboro Road in Moorestown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to help recognize those who have cared for and assisted Lynn and her family since 2004. Contributions, in memory of Lynn Pharo, will be distributed by the Brandywine Administrator and can be made out ot Brandywine Living at Moorestown Estates, 1205 North Church Street, Moorestown, NJ 08057.
