Sam Lacroce, of the Joseph Lacroce Foundation, Evesham Township Mayor Jaclyn Veasy, Deputy Mayor Heather Cooper and other gathered on June 12 to cut a ribbon symbolizing the opening of the new Joseph Lacroce Recreation Room at Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital in Marlton.
The hospital’s new recreation room was created to provide Weisman Children’s patients of all ages and abilities (including their visiting siblings) an all-inclusive and fun environment to play and have fun in during their stay at the hospital.
The room is being named after Joseph Lacroce, who was the inspiration of the Joseph Lacroce Foundation in Cherry Hill.
The foundation’s mission is to brighten the lives of hospitalized children.
The recreation room was made in part by donations from Weisman Children’s, the Joseph Lacroce Foundation and the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation.
Weisman Childrens is one of only two rehabilitation hospitals in New Jersey focused solely on the needs of infants, children and teens. Weisman is the only pediatric rehabilitation hospital in South Jersey, as an 18-bed specialty hospital serving infants, children and teens up to age 21.
