The Evesham Police Department, in partnership with Israeli Krav Maga of Cherry Hill, will host a free seminar for those who want instruction on making a plan to respond to an active shooter situation.
This free seminar will take place on Saturday, June 15, at the Blue Barn Recreation Center, located at 1010 Tuckerton Road.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to the ETPD, Israeli Krav Maga of Cherry Hill has been teaching active shooter training to companies and individuals for several years.
Police say this program expands on the Department of Homeland Security’s safety guideline to “Run. Hide. Fight.”
While police note that the vast majority of people will never be in an active-shooter situation, just as with any other potential emergency, everyone should have a plan just in case.
Since 2006, Israeli Krav Maga has been providing self-defense training to civilians, law enforcement and the military.
Instructors Don Melnick and Rinaldo Rossi have more than 30 years of combined experience and will demonstrate their knowledge, techniques and tactics to all who attend.
