According to the local police department, on Monday, May 27 between the hours of 4 and 5 p.m. several motor vehicles were broken into at Pennington Park located on the 800 block of Creek Road.
The motivation for these incidents are consistent with that of the Felony Lane Gang. Actors involved with this group travel by vehicle to public parking locations and drive around the lots looking for unoccupied vehicles that have valuables such as purses and computers inside in plain view. Once they observe the valuables, they quickly force entry into the vehicles typically by smashing out a window if the vehicles are locked and remove said valuables before quickly leaving the area.
Police are asking that visitors be vigilant in making sure you lock your vehicles and leave no personal belongings in plain view.
