Cherry Hill Mayor Chuck Cahn is signing a proclamation on Tuesday, May 28, declaring Friday, June 7, as National Gun Violence Awareness Day, and the local chapter of Moms Demand Action is asking the community to wear orange in awareness of the day. Put on orange ribbons, T-shirts, socks and ties to commemorate the many victims and survivors of gun violence throughout America. For those looking to do more, on Saturday, June 8, join friends and neighbors from around the region for a Wear Orange Peace Walk followed by family-friendly music, activities and food, co-sponsored by the Camden County Freeholders and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, at Roosevelt Plaza Park in Camden, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
