Burlington County officials have announced the county will host its inaugural Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival on Saturday, May 4, from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Burlington County Fairgrounds.
“Join us for the County’s Inaugural Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival,” said Burlington County Freeholder Deputy Director Balvir Singh, who also serves as liaison to the Department of Resource Conservation. “What better way to spend a beautiful afternoon than eating great food from gourmet food trucks, drinking local craft beer and wine, and listening to two of South Jersey’s finest bands right in your backyard. All drink proceeds will benefit Arms 2 Artisans, a nonprofit dedicated to helping veterans find employment in the craft beer industry.”
Tickets are $10 for general admission. Tickets are being sold in advance and day of the event. All tickets must be purchased online prior to entrance. Tickets can be purchased by visiting: www.co.burlington.nj.us/parks
Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. County officials say the county is looking forward to the gourmet food items provided by: Bacon Broads, Beast of the Street, Butch’s Smack your Lips BBQ, Dan’s Waffles, Fresh Grill Paella Company, House of Cupcakes, Jeremiah’s Custom Cuisine/Loco Gringo’s Street Taco Express, Mannino’s Cannoli Express, Mobile Madison, Rico Sabor, Stars of the Sea Seafood, Tandoori Trailer and Wahlburgers.
Craft beers from the following breweries will be featured: Backward Flag Brewing Co., Bolero Snort Brewery, Screamin’ Hill Brewery, Third State Brewery, River Horse Brewing Co., Pinelands Brewing Company, Three 3’s Brewing and the Brotherton Brewing Company. Valenzano Wine will also be available for purchase.
The event will showcase two bands, The Billy Walton Band, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and The Goodman Fiske Band, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Kentucky Derby will be aired live on the big screen. Enthusiasts of the derby are encouraged to wear their best derby attire or hats to the event.
Attendees are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Parking is free for the event. Attendees must be 21 with a valid ID to purchase and drink alcohol. No outside food or drinks will be permitted. The event is rain or shine.
All drink proceeds will benefit Arms 2 Artisans. The Arms 2 Artisans is a nonprofit that teaches military vets about the craft beer trade. For more information on the organization visit: https://www.arms2artisans.com/
