On Thursday, April 18, Mr. James Pileckas was presented with the Citizen Citation Award and an official Cinnaminson Police Challenge Coin by Chief Rich Calabrese and P/O Tim Obuchowski.
Last April 22, police were dispatched to the area of Rt. 130 and Church Rd. for a subject running into traffic, banging on cars, and attempting to enter vehicles. Upon arrival, units located the subject being restrained on the ground by Mr. Pileckas. Police were able to secure the subject and get him transported to a local hospital. it was determined that the subject was under the influence of “Bath Salts”.
Mr. Pileckas’ actions prevented the subject from hurting himself or anyone else and was a great assistance to the Cinnaminson Police Department in getting the subject secured.
