On April 27th, Seneca Seniors Hannah Kent and Hannah Russo will head to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Orlando, Florida to compete in the DECA national competition.
Kent and Russo earned the right to compete in the national competition by winning first place in the state competition earning first place in the state for Buying and Merchandising and qualifying to move on to the national competition.
“We now go to ICDC and we’re super excited to compete in the national competition, being
first in the state of New Jersey,” noted Kent. They have been preparing by continuing to
practice role playing, studying, and meeting with advisor Grace McCloskey.
Seneca students Brent Penwell, Adam Arnold, Katie Olson, Sandra Scott, and Corinne Kent
will also be heading to Florida to attend the leadership academy held at ICDC as they prepare for next year.
“All of these students had to work incredibly hard to earn the opportunity to go on this trip,” noted advisor Grace McCloskey. “I’m very proud of all of them.”
