The event will take place on March 21.
The Moorestown Rotary’s Third Annual Comedy Night will take place on March 21 at the Moorestown Community House. Emcee for the night is Moorestown’s own Joel Richardson, owner of Soul Joel Productions and a former Moorestown resident and Moorestown High School student.
Richardson is the founder of Soul Joel Productions, the biggest independent comedy production company on the east coast. For more than 10 years, Richardson has been producing 200 plus shows every year. Half of the those shows are fundraising events that benefit schools, non-profits and charitable organizations.
The money raised will go to support the Rotarys’ education and international service projects. Last year alone, the Moorestown Rotary Lunch Club provided more than $25,000 in scholarships, provided water wheels to India, sent 500 solar lights to Uganda, donated $2,000 to Perkins Center, $5,000 to the Community House, $3,500 to Appalachian Service Project and thousands of more dollars supporting many other local charities.
