Mt. Laurel Police make arrests related to alleged possession of narcotics and shoplifting in recent report
Police say three separate incidents took place on March 9.
The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:
On March 9 at approximately 7:12 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police arrested a male on charges related to an alleged shoplifting. According to police, the department responded to Walmart for a report that a male was allegedly attempting to shoplift by utilizing self-checkout and not ringing items up. Upon arrival, police arrested a 37-year-old male of Pennsauken. Police transported the man to department headquarters, processed him and released him.
On March 9 approximately 1:31 p.m., Mt. Laurel Police arrested a male and female on charges related to alleged shoplifting, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and having active warrants out of other jurisdictions. According to police, officers responded to Wegmans for a report of two individuals allegedly observed attempting to steal hundreds of dollars in seafood. Officers arrested a 29-year-old male of Somerdale and 27-year-old female of Long Branch. Subsequent to arrest, police say the individuals were allegedly found to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia and had active warrants. Police transported the individuals to department headquarters, processed them and released them on summonses.
On March 9 at approximately 8:52 a.m., Mt. Laurel Police arrested a male on changes related to the alleged possession of narcotics. During a routine motor vehicle stop, police placed a 24-year-old male of Marlton under arrest for possession of narcotics. The male was placed under arrest after police say further investigation lead to the alleged discovery of narcotics within the vehicle. Police transported the male to the department headquarters, processed him and released him.
