The group recently made “love bags” for Hand N Heart.
At their Feb. 19 meeting, the AMP Evening Rotary Group of Moorestown assembled “love bags” for the organization Hand N Heart. These bags consist of a toothbrush, coloring book, crayons, socks and a stuffed animal. They are distributed to children in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area when they are placed in foster care.
This is just one of the many service projects which the AMP Rotary Evening Group has either created or in which they participated. Previous activities included sewing dresses for girls in Africa so they can attend school, the opening event for the Moorestown Dog Park and the twice-a-year Dog Park clean-up.
The AMP (“Alternate Meeting Program”) Rotary Evening Group is part of the Moorestown Rotary Lunch Club. Its purpose is to accommodate people who want to join Rotary, but whose schedules make it hard to attend lunch or breakfast meetings.
The group meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month, at Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar at the Moorestown Mall from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. Guests are welcome and they are looking for new members.
