Mt. Laurel Police make arrest on charge of narcotics possession

The arrest took place the afternoon of Feb. 26 in the area of Hainesport Road and Grant Road.

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

On Feb. 26 at approximately 2:06 p.m., the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department arrested a man for allegedly possessing of narcotics in the area of Hainesport Road and Grant Road.

According to police, officers were originally dispatched for a suspicious persons call.

When officers arrived, police observed a man in the area who allegedly provided a false name and date of birth.

The man was then found to allegedly have outstanding warrants out of other jurisdictions and a bag containing paraphernalia and narcotics.

Police then took the 30-year-old male of Philadelphia into custody.

Police then transported the man to department headquarters, processed him and released him on a summons with new court dates.
