Mt. Laurel Police arrest man on charge of attempted theft in progress at Verizon Wireless

Police say a man was allegedly attempting to purchase $1300 in store merchandise utilizing another individual’s account.

The following information is on file with the Mt. Laurel Township Police Department:

The Mount Laurel Township Police Department recently arrested an 18-year-old male of Philadelphia on charges of an attempted theft in progress.

On Feb. 26 at approximately 5:13 p.m., police was dispatched to Verizon Wireless for a report of an alleged attempted theft in progress.

According to police, officers arrived and arrested an 18-year-old man from Philadelphia after an investigation uncovered that the man was allegedly purchasing $1300.00 in store merchandise utilizing another individual’s account.

Police took the man into custody and transported him to department headquarters, processed him and released him on a summons.
