The event will explore current trends, drug addiction prevention programs, a question and answer session and more.
The Evesham Township Police Department will be hosting a forum on substance abuse for the first time on Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Marlton Field House at Marlton Assembly of God church.
The program will start at 6 p.m. and will include the following topics as they specifically relate to Evesham Township:
- Vaping (e-cigarettes) trends and samples of products being seized.
- LEAD, Straight to Treatment and Not Even Once Program — the history of the programs and identified goals.
- Current drug trends, locally and nationally, as outlined by Evesham Municipal Alliance Coordinator Joe Conlin.
- Hidden in Plain Sight — Interactive room designed to show parents areas where children might conceal substance use. This is an outside vendor that was paid for by the Evesham Township Police Foundation.
Officials say the department will also have a question and answer session along with various resource tables set up to provide the community with as much information as possible.
