Peace Islands Institute to kick off Internet Safety for Youth series on Feb. 28

Det. Alaa Musleeh of the New Jersey State Police will be the speaker at this firstĀ event.

Peace Islands Institute is hosting the first part of its Internet Safety for Youth Series on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at its offices, 498 Kings Highway North, in CherryĀ Hill.

Topics for the first event include current Internet safety concerns, social media apps and sites, practical tips, resources for parents, sexting and sexual solicitation of children and cyberbullying. The speaker is Det. Alaa Musleeh of the New Jersey State Police. Musleeh works in the special investigations section digital technology investigations unit.

This is a free event and open to all parents, regardless of the age of their children. There is a limited number of spots available. Those who wish to attend must RSVP no later than Feb. 25 by emailing [email protected].
