Caretaker accused of stealing, marijuana arrests and more in latest Mt. Laurel Police report

On Jan. 15 at 11:57 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 for motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, it was determined that a 35-year-old female driver from Lindenwold was in possession of marijuana. She was subsequently arrested and charged on a summons with possession of marijuana. She was processed and released pending a future court date.

On Jan. 15 at 3:20 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven store on Marne Highway. During the investigation, it was determined that a 29-year-old male driver from Mount Laurel was in possession of marijuana. He was subsequently arrested and charged on a summons with possession of marijuana. He was processed and released pending a future court date.

On Jan. 14 at 2:15 p.m., patrols conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 73 for motor vehicle violations. During the investigation, a 33-year-old male driver from Moorestown presented the officer with a fraudulent Delaware temporary registration card and a fraudulent insurance card. He was subsequently arrested and charged with uttering a forged writing and possession of a simulated insurance card. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Jan. 14 at 1 p.m., patrols responded to a business on Elbo Lane for a theft complaint. An employee stated that he dropped off equipment at the location at approximately noon. When he returned a few hours later, the equipment was gone.

On Jan. 12 at 8:32 p.m., patrols responded to two residences on Bloomfield Court for a male attempting to break into a vehicle. A male was observed attempting to enter one vehicle and then successfully entering a neighbor’s vehicle. The area checked negative for the male.

On Jan. 11 at 11:08 p.m., patrols conducted an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Extended Stay at 101 Diemer Drive. During the investigation, it was determined that a 41-year-old driver of the vehicle from Atco, was in possession of marijuana. She was subsequently arrested and charged on a summons with possession of marijuana. She was released pending a future court date. An 18-year-old passenger from Mastic, N.Y. was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Franklinville. He was released pending a future court date.

On Jan. 11 at 9:35 p.m., patrols responded to a residence on the 1800 block of Augusta Circle for a theft complaint. The victim/resident reported that on this date, a caretaker was at his residence. While at the residence, he believes that the caretaker stole an envelope containing money.

On Jan. 10 at 2:56 p.m., patrols responded to the 500 block of Fellowship Road for a dispute. During the investigation, it was determined that a 41-year-old male from Maple Shade, who was involved in the dispute, was in possession of marijuana. The man was subsequently arrested and charged on a summons with possession of marijuana. He was released pending a future court date.

On Jan. 10 at 2:34 p.m., patrols responded to the Super 8 Motel at 560 Fellowship Road for a theft complaint. Motel staff reported that a female guest of the hotel left without paying for four nights that she stayed.

On Jan. 9 at 11:06 p.m., patrols responded to the Walmart at 934 Route 73 for a criminal mischief complaint. The investigation revealed that during a verbal dispute between two employees, one of the employees punched a refrigerator door, breaking the glass door in the process.

On Jan. 9 at 7:17 p.m., patrols responded to the Extended Stay Hotel at 500 Diemer Drive for a report of a robbery. Two victims stated that while in their hotel room, unknown individuals knocked on their door. Upon opening the door, the individuals made entry while brandishing firearms and demanding money from the victims. After stealing money and other items, the individuals fled the area in a silver four door Lexus.

On Jan. 8 at 10:54 p.m., patrols responded to the Lukoil at 921 Route 73 for a theft complaint. The gas attendant stated that after pumping $20 worth of gas into a red Hyundai Sonata, the driver pulled away without paying.

On Jan. 8 at 5:25 p.m., patrols responded to Walmart at 934 Route 73 for a shoplifting complaint. Loss prevention employees reported that two individuals were observed under-ringing items at the self-checkout, as well as concealing items. A 34-year-old female from Berlin was arrested and charged with shoplifting. Additionally, she was a wanted person out of Gloucester County for a child support warrant. She was committed to the Burlington County Jail pending a future court date. A 66-year-old male from Blackwood was arrested and charged with shoplifting. He was processed and released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Sept. 26, patrols responded to Lifetime Fitness at 3939 Church Road for a theft complaint. The victim reported that an unknown individual broke into his gym locker and stole personal items. After an extensive investigation, the individual was identified as a 48-year-old male from Philadelphia. On Jan. 8, the suspect turned himself in at Mt. Laurel Police Headquarters. He was arrested, processed and charged with burglary and theft. He was released on a summons pending a future court date.

On Jan. 7 at 9:23 p.m., patrols responded to a restaurant in Centerton Square for a theft complaint. The employees stated that a 20-year-old female from Westampton ate at the restaurant and left without paying her bill. After the female was identified and contacted, she agreed to come back to the restaurant to pay.
