Monroe Township Democratic Executive Committee accepting applicants to fill Ward 2 Council seat

Press release from Monroe Township Democratic Executive Committee

The Monroe Township Democratic Executive Committee is accepting applicants to fill the Ward 2 Council seat previously held by mayor Richard DiLucia.

All interested candidates must submit a letter of consideration along with a resume to the Monroe Township clerk’s office either in person or by certified mail. These documents must be received no later than Jan. 11 at 2 p.m..

On Jan. 15 a meeting will be held at the Monroe Township Public Library in room C at 6 p.m.. At the meeting, the letters of consideration along with the resumes will be reviewed and discussed and candidates will be interviewed. At that time the Monroe Township Democratic Executive Committee will choose three candidates to present to mayor and council for consideration at the next Monroe Township council meeting.

The purpose of the Monroe Township Democratic Executive Committee is to pursue the highest values of democratic government and supporting such minded candidates for the democratic party. The committee’s ultimate goal is to provide the best possible government to all the people of Monroe Township, Gloucester County.
