Spay/neuter clinics for small dogs and cats at Westampton Municipal Building in January

The clinics are part of a partnership between the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter and Dr. Lori Duggan.

Locals can get their small dog, pet cat, or community cat spayed/neutered at the Westampton Municipal Building on select dates in January.

The clinics are part of a partnership between the Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter and Dr. Lori Duggan.

For January, clinic dates include Jan. 5, Jan. 12, Jan. 13, Jan. 19 and Jan. 26.

The surgery fees for dogs are as follows:

  • Male under 20 pounds: $105, which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, pain meds and nail clip.
  • Female under 20 pounds: $125, which includes spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, pain meds and nail clip.

The surgery fees for cats are as follows:

  • Pet male: $60, which includes spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccine and nail clip.
  • Pet female: $70, which includes spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccine, pain meds and nail clip.
  • Community/Feral: $35, which includes spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccine and ear-tip. These cats must be brought in a trap.
  • Barn/Outside: $50, which includes spay/neuter, rabies and distemper vaccine and ear-tip. These cats are friendly and live outside year round.
  • Pet cats from 501(c)3 rescue groups can have surgery and rabies vaccine for $45. Rescue may supply distemper vaccine, micro-chip and/or flea meds. If not supplied by the rescue, regular add-on pricing applies.

The surgery fees for rabbits are as follows:

  • $65 for spay/neuter

  • Feline Leukemia/FIV test: $25
  • Canine Heartworm test: $25
  • Fecal test: $15
  • Microchip: $25
  • Ear cleaning: $10
  • Lyme vaccine: $25
  • Bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine: $20
  • Cat distemper/FVRCP vaccine: $10
  • Dog distemper/DA2PP vaccine: $20
  • Covenia (antibiotic for community cats): $30
  • Deworming under 3 months/Pyrantel: $5
  • Deworming (deworming/fleas/heartworm/ear mites) older than 3 months/Revolution: $15
  • Wellness exams $35

Specialty and other services are also available, such as rat, guinea pig, sugar glider, chinchilla and pot bellied pig neuters.

To register for any of the above services, email [email protected] or call (609) 479–1966 and provide the following information:

  • Name, phone number, address and email address
  • Type of animal (dog, pet cat, feral cat, etc.)
  • Pet’s name, age and color. For dogs only, provide breed and weight

Instructions:

  • Dogs must be on a leash. Drop off and pick up times will vary. Attendees will be notified of times prior to their clinic date.
  • Cats and rabbits must be in a separate covered trap or hard carrier. Drop off time is 10:15 a.m. Pick up will be the same day and owners will be contacted when their cat/rabbit is ready. Plan on at least six to eight hours from drop off to pick up.

Pre-op Instructions:

  • Adult dogs and cats (5 months or older): No food after midnight the night prior to surgery. Water is okay.
  • Puppies and kittens: No food after 5 a.m. surgery morning. Water is okay.
  • Rabbits can have food brought with them. They are not fasted.

Payment Options:

  • Cash at drop off
  • Credit/debit card at drop off for an additional $5 fee

Registration and Surgery Consent Form:

Those who wish to sign up for these services should print and complete both the registration and the consent form and bring the forms during drop off.

The drop off location is the Westampton Township Municipal Building, located at 710 Rancocas Road in Westampton.
