Mantua Township patrol summary, Dec. 12–18

The following is on file at the Mantua Township Police Department

Dec. 12

· Officers took a theft report for a vehicle that was entered overnight.

· Units responded to a crash where a vehicle struck a highway sign.

· Units responded to a crash in front of the Taco Bell in which two vehicles needed to be towed.

· Officers took a report for credit card fraud.

· Officers responded to a neighbor dispute as one neighbor smokes marijuana in his house and the smell travels to the neighbor’s house.

· Officers responded to a domestic dispute in which the neighbor called because they heard arguing.

· Ptl. Hauss conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested the subject for outstanding warrants. The subject was lodged in the county jail.

· Ptl. Oldrati conducted a pedestrian stop and arrested the subject for outstanding warrants. That subject was released.

Dec. 13

· Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants.

· Officers assisted a motorist who had locked his keys in his vehicle at his house.

· Units responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Home Depot.

· Officers responded to threats made against an Amazon driver.

· Officers responded to a noise complaint in which the upstairs neighbor was banging.

· Ptl. Layton attempted to stop a motorcycle for traffic violations and the subject fled. Officers were able to identify the driver through an investigation and he was charged with eluding and related offenses.

Dec. 14

· Ptl. Oldrati arrested a subject on an outstanding warrant.

· Ptl. Sheilds assisted Woodbury Police Department with the execution of a search warrant in their town.

· Officers responded to a crash on Jackson Road where both vehicles needed to be towed.

· Officers responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Lukoil Gas station.

· Officers responded to a crash in which a tire fell off while driving and caused damage to another vehicle.

Dec. 15

· Officers responded to check a residence as the callers heard noises from around the house during the night. Everything checked out OK.

· Officers found a dead deer in the middle of the roadway. They moved it to the shoulder and requested the removal service to come and get it.

· Officers took a theft report in which one neighbor accused another of stealing items from their house.

· Officers supervised community service workers who cleaned up trash in the community.

· Officers responded to a civil matter in which the caller paid to have their roof repaired and it was currently leaking.

· Units responded to a solicitor in the Sewell section who did not have a valid permit.

· Officers responded to a minor crash at Main and Turner streets.

· Units responded to a tree that had fallen and taken the wires down with it.

· Units responded to a single vehicle crash on Center Street near New Street in which the driver lost control on the slippery roads.

· Officers checked an empty residence for possible squatters inside. It was empty.

· Ptl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for possession of drug paraphernalia.

· Ptl. Sheilds and Ptl. Lawrence located three subjects who had just spray pained the Conrail bridge. All subjects were arrested and released on a summons.

· Ptl. Schnarr arrested a subject for shoplifting from the Target store.

· Units responded to a crash at Main and Center streets where one vehicle needed to be towed.

Dec. 16

· Officers took a theft report for decorations that were stolen from the Maplewood Club house overnight.

· Units responded to a minor crash on Heilig Road by Barnsboro Road in which one vehicle back into another.

· Officers took a fraud report in which the caller’s ex-husband was using her credit cards.

· Police responded to a single vehicle crash in which a vehicle struck a deer on Mantua Boulevard.

Dec. 17

· Officers responded to a hunting complaint on Bethel Mill Road.

· Units responded to a minor crash on Main Street and Tylers Mill Road.

· Units responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Kohl’s store.

· Units responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of Tyler Mill Towing.

· Officers responded to a family dispute between a mother and her juvenile daughter.

· Ptl. Mroz conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants.

· Ptl. Hauss arrested a subject for outstanding warrants.

· Ptl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for outstanding warrants.

· Ptl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested an occupant for possession of drugs as well as giving false information to him. She was lodged in the Gloucester County Jail.

Dec. 18

· Units responded to a neighbor complaint in which the upstairs neighbor was stomping on the floors at 3:30 a.m.

· Officers took a theft report in which a cell phone and wallet were stolen.

· Units responded to a domestic in which one party was intoxicated at 8:30 a.m.

· Officers took a report for credit card fraud where a small business credit card was used fraudulently.

· Officers took a report for stolen Christmas ornaments.

· Units responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of the Kohl’s store.

· Units responded to a minor crash in the parking lot of Hoffman Dimuzio Law Firm.

· Officers took a fraud report in which there was a fraudulent transaction that originated from Craigslist.

· Units responded to a minor crash on Main Street near Mt. Royal Road.

· Units responded to a crash on Woodbury-Glassboro Road in the area of Center Street.

· Officers took a theft report in which the caller’s mountain bike was stolen.

· Ptl. Oldrati conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject for possession of marijuana and active warrants.

· Ptl. Hauss conducted a motor vehicle stop and arrested a subject for multiple active warrants.
