ABVP requires diplomates to maintain certification every ten years. This process demonstrates that diplomates have kept up with changes and advancements in veterinary practice. ABVP is unique among veterinary specialties in that certification expires every ten years. Diplomates must take and pass a challenging examination or accumulate credits for continuing education and other professional activities in order to maintain certification. Dazen is one of only 135 diplomates specializing in avian practice.

Dr. Dazen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He has practiced at the Animal and Bird Health Care Center located at 1785 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill for 30 years. Dazen became a diplomate of the ABVP in 2000.
