Recycling for Mt. Laurel for the week of New Year’s Day 2019 will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Due to the upcoming New Year’s Day holiday, the Burlington County Recycling Office has announced the revised recycling collection schedule for the week of New Year’s Day.
During that week, regularly scheduled recycling days for municipalities will be pushed back one day, starting with municipalities that have Tuesday as their regularly scheduled recycling collection day being moved to Wednesday, and so forth.
This means recycling collection in Mt. Laurel Township for the week of New Year’s Day 2019 will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
Regular recycling collection schedules will resume the week of Jan. 7.
Also, due to recent drastic changes in the recycling markets, residents are asked to remove packing contents, like foam and plastic wrap, that can contaminate the recycling stream. Residents are also asked to flatten boxes before recycling.
In the event of overflow, residents should use their local municipal recycling drop-off. Additionally, residents are asked to consider holding on to recyclables until next collection or taking them to municipal recycling drop-offs in case of a windy day, snow or ice storms.
For more information, residents can call the Recycling Hotline at (609) 267–6889 or (856) 461–4141, email [email protected] or check the Recycle Coach smartphone app.
Recycle Coach is available on iTunes and GooglePlay app stores and lets residents get your recycling schedule, including paper shredding days, receive winter weather service delay updates, find where to recycle old TVs and more.
