A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10th at the First Presbyterian Church.
John R. Boyer, born on December 11, 1923, passed away on Nov. 22. Boyer was cherished by his family. John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 68 years, Ann; his loving daughter, Lynne, and husband, Joseph Wynne; his adoring grandchildren, Scott (Whitney) Wynne and Amy(Mike) Doran; dear nephews, George Colfer and John Dill; and devoted and treasured friend, Jay Dever. John was preceded in death by his son, John Scott Boyer.
John was raised in Collingswood and resided in Moorestown for more than 61 years. He served in the United States Armed Forces for three years during World War II. He was a 1948 graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Truly a self-made man, John’s business career was spent in building and real estate. He was very active in community affairs which included serving as the President of Moorestown Rotary, Chairman of the Burlington County Board of Appeals and as a board member of the Moorestown Community House and Moorestown Historical Society, among others.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 10th at the First Presbyterian Church located at: 101 Bridgeboro Rd. in Moorestown. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Moorestown or BrightFocus Foundation for Macular Degeneration Research.
