Healthy for the holidays: It’s important to stay on track

The doctors with Rowan Medicine are going to ensure the jolly old elf is pre-flight ready with a check-up at the South Jersey Kids Expo on Saturday, Nov. 17. At the free family event, set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Rec Center at St. Matthew’s in Williamstown, the Rowan doctors will make a list — they’ll check it twice — to see that Santa is healthy for his big night.

Seneca DECA students attended leadership conference

Seneca’s DECA students attended the chapter leadership conference at Kean University. At the conference, students participated in leadership activities and workshops, listened to guest speakers, and developed plans for leading the Seneca DECA chapter. DECA is an organization that prepares students as emerging leaders and entrepreneurs, helping them create a foundation for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

Tabernacle resident takes the crown at first local Miss America competition

This is the quote that inspired Tabernacle resident Julianna Rankel to take the stage at her first local Miss America competition.

After years of looking up to women of the Miss America organization through her television screen, Rankel decided it was time to get involved herself, and after participating in her first competition in Atlantic City, she was crowned Miss Columbus Day 2019.
