Gloucester County Senior Services hosts annual luncheon

Gloucester County Senior Services hosted the annual Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon at Auletto Caterers in Deptford. Freeholder Heather Simmons gave the welcome remarks at the event.

The annual Caregiver Appreciation Luncheon is held in recognition of those who spend their time taking care of others.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger, “It is our honor thank and support our caregivers. Along with recognizing them for their work with this annual luncheon, Gloucester County offers the Caregiver Support Program, providing support and assistance to caregivers and helping them in access services to help them with the important work they do.”

Services include assistance to grandparents raising grandchildren, information, assistance and guidance to navigate through the system of available in-home support services for the caregiver’s loved ones, access to supplemental services to ease the strain on the caregiver, individual counseling and support, and a monthly Support Group.
