Shamong Township Committee unofficial election results

Two seats for the Shamong Township Committee were up for grabs in Tuesday’s election.

Today, Shamong Township voters cast their ballots in the 2018 General Election.

In the race for two seats on the Shamong Township Committee, two candidates, incumbent Michael P. Cooney (R) and Sean Gray (R), ran unopposed.

The unofficial results from the Burlington County Board of Elections reports Gray received 1,887 votes and Cooney received 1,815 votes. There were 22 write-in votes.

In the race for Shamong Township Board of Education, there was one vacant seat with no petitions filed. There were 291 write-in votes.

The Lenape Regional School District Board of Education also had one seat in Shamong Township up for election this year, with Samuel B. Green running unopposed. Green received 1,145 votes.

All results are unofficial until the board of elections certifies them. These numbers do not include mail-in or provisional ballots.
