Monica Fillmore believes Chheda will be a voice for the people if elected to the Voorhees Board of Education
Dear Editor of the Voorhees Sun,
I am writing to share my enthusiastic support of Mayur Chheda for the Board of Education. While the education of our children is always of the utmost importance, Voorhees is in the midst of a vital period in which we are searching for a new Superintendent. This decision impacts not only individuals with children in the public schools, but all residents in Voorhees as the continued presence of amazing educational opportunities for our town benefits everyone.
In order to make sure we receive the best and most qualified candidate, we need Board of Education members whom will fight for what is right, employ the necessary financial knowledge and who are dedicated to making our schools the best that they can be.
I have known Mayur for the past six years. He and his family were some of the first to welcome us to Voorhees, and throughout this time I have seen what a dedicated father and successful businessman he is. I have no doubt that he will bring that same level of enthusiasm and hard work to the Board of Education to provide fresh ideas, a balanced approach, and diversity to the school board.
On many occasions I have heard him speak of the many strengths and achievements of our schools. However, on the same token, I also have heard him speak of the many concerns and suggestions that many of us share as fellow Voorhees residents, taxpayers, and parents. As a board member, he will place an emphasis on timely and open communications, the need for increased accountability, and improved fiscal responsibility. He goes far beyond the interests of his own children — he cares deeply about the quality of education for all students. He will advocate fairly and passionately for students, families, teachers, and administrators — all in an effort to develop each student to the best of their ability.
I strongly believe a different perspective can be conducive to creative solutions — and Mayur’s professional background in finance, accounting, and local real estate combined with his passion as a parent will be very conducive to providing ideas and creative solutions to better our school and student’s education experience.
Please vote for Mayur Chheda, and his two running mates — Rachel Van Aken, and Monica Watson for Voorhees Board of Education. I commend Mayur, Rachel, and Monica for their effort and building the awareness in the importance of school board elections.
Sincerely,
Monica Fillmore
