Letter to the Editor: Community safety has increased thanks to Nocito and Ravitz

Township Committee member Harry Platt wants to remind Voorhees citizens of the good that these committee members have done before election day comes

To The Editor:

Since Michelle Nocito and Jason Ravitz began serving on Voorhees Township Committee three years ago, they have focused on public safety for our students, teachers as well as all issues in Voorhees.

Michelle and Jason led the way in getting police officers in every school in Voorhees. Voorhees leads the region in making our public school a safe place for our children to learn.

They have also led the way in the consolidation of the Voorhees Fire District. This ensured that our Fire Department is able to provide the best possible emergency services to our residents.

Michelle and Jason have been at the forefront of the major improvements to our recreational facilities. Most notably, Michelle managed our new turf soccer field project from start to finish. Jason helped secure funding for opioid abuse counselors in our court system to help address this devastating problem.

The bottom line is that the current members of the Township Committee work very hard to make sure that Voorhees continues to be the best place to live, work and safely raise a family.

This is why I encourage everyone to support Michelle Nocito and Jason Ravitz, Democrats, for Voorhees Township Committee.
