Letter to the Editor: Delgado and Boren will make Moorestown proud

Mieskolainen is voting for Delgado and Boren this November.

The people we elect to represent us on the Moorestown Council will be responsible for many important projects, initiatives, and efforts in our town. They will have to make hard choices and tackle tough issues, finding a way to do so with both conviction and heart. For me, the choice is clear. I will be voting for Manny Delgado and Jamie Boren this November.

Manny has already proven himself to be an effective leader during his term in office. Manny has now cut our Township taxes, secured two bond rating upgrades for our town, built up a responsible surplus, and kept our water rates and Township fees lower than those of neighboring communities. Moody’s Investor Services proclaimed Moorestown “financially healthy” after a thorough review of our finances, debt obligations, and surplus. Why? In their words, thanks to “strong financial management.”

Our town was named one of the best places in New Jersey to open a business, and it’s no wonder why: The Moorestown Mall’s vacancy rate has dropped from 30 to 7 percent, Main Street has welcomed a number of new businesses, and Lenola is now going to be receiving a number of upgrades in its business district thanks to Manny and Jamie securing grant dollars to make it happen. Imagine where we will be in four years with the addition of Jamie to the council as a small business owner who runs Moorestown’s longest operating business right on Main Street!

Combine all of this with Manny and Jamie’s public service record, history of volunteering with local charities, organizations, and kids sports, and their undeniable love for our community, and you’ve got a recipe for another four years of Moorestown heading in a positive direction.

When you cast your ballot, please vote for Manny Delgado and Jamie Boren on Nov. 6. I know they will continue to make Moorestown proud.
