Burlington County State Health Insurance Assistance Program helps Medicare recipients during open enrollment
Trained counselors can help Medicare recipients and caregivers review current plans and compare new options.
The Burlington County State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP), operated by the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Burlington County (RSVP), which is supported by the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders and Rowan College at Burlington County, is offering free Medicare assistance during the open enrollment period, which runs from through Friday, Dec. 7
Trained counselors can help Medicare recipients and caregivers review current plans and compare new options, understand costs associated with different plans, and navigate the enrollment process.
The SHIP office has scheduled two free events to assist residents during open enrollment:
- Public Presentation on Medicare Changes for 2019: Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Burlington County Library, 5 Pioneer Boulevard in Westampton.
- Open Enrollment Counseling Sessions: Friday, Nov. 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at RCBC’s Willingboro Campus in room 220. The Willingboro Campus is located in the Willingboro Town Center at 200 Campbell Drive on the second floor. Appointments are required for counseling sessions.
