Evesham officials say ‘great turnout’ for Community-wide Clean-up event

Volunteers helped remove litter and other debris from the tops of storm drains throughout township.

Officials with Evesham Township are proclaiming a “great turnout” for this year’s Community-wide Clean-Up event, which took place throughout Evesham Township on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Leading up to the event, the township had once again asked local volunteers to help remove litter and other debris from the tops of storm drains throughout township.

According to the township, this year’s event resulted in volunteers clearing 149 different storm drains in Evesham.

After the event, volunteers were invited to Main Street Firehouse for a reception lunch courtesy of sponsors Joe’s Pizzeria, Randolph’s Bakery Philadelphia Pretzel Factory and Chick-Fil-A of Marlton.

This year’s cleanup event was once again part of the New Jersey Clean Communities program.
