The man is Ryan Albert, age 30, of Marlton.

The following information comes from the National Park Service:

A 30-year-old Marlton man was recently reported missing by a family member after the man was believed to have been attempting to hike Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park.

On Friday, Oct. 5, rangers at Rocky Mountain National Park were contacted by the Denver Police Department, who had been notified by a family member that Ryan Albert, age 30, of Marlton, was overdue.

It was believed he was attempting Longs Peak on Thursday, Oct. 4. Albert’s rental car was found at the Longs Peak trailhead on the afternoon of Friday, Oct. 5. Officials say it is unknown what Albert’s planned destination or route was.

On the morning of Saturday, Oct. 6, members of Rocky Mountain National Park’s Search and Rescue team began searching the Longs Peak area, including the Boulder Field, the Keyhole Route, The Loft, Chasm Cirque, North Longs Peak and Boulder Brook. The forecast for the day in Longs Peak area called for freezing temperatures and severe and unpredictable weather including snow, hail, sleet, thunder and lightning.

Albert was last seen leaving the Denver area early Thursday morning, Oct. 4, wearing dark clothes and a backpack.

Park rangers would like to hear from anyone who may have had contact with Albert regarding his planned route on Longs Peak at (970) 586–1204.
