The Voorhees Animal Orphanage has over 300 cats in need of homes and is having a special sale until Oct. 22
Until Oct. 22, all kittens aged 6 months or younger are $25 and adult cats are $10 at the Voorhees Animal Orphanage. Included in the adoption fee is the spay/neutering, vaccinations for those that are age appropriate and micro-chipping.
“The Kitten Season came upon us with a vengeance this year. As a matter of fact, it never really ended last year!” says Jennifer Bailey, marketing irector of the Voorhees Animal Orphanage. “Between our shelter, foster network and five off-site adoption centers, we presently have over 340 cats and kittens in our care. What better time for an Adoption Promotion?”
The Voorhees Animal Orphanage (“VAO”) is a 501-c-3, non-profit Municipal Animal Shelter dedicated to providing shelter, food and medical care to stray and unwanted animals until permanent homes can be found.
The VAO is an open-intake animal shelter serving 21 municipalities Southern New Jersey (16 of which are in Camden County). Its goal is to operate to meet or exceed a 90% live outcome rate (a.k.a. “no-kill”). When space allows, the VAO is also an Adoption Center, which allows them to rescue animals from high-risk shelters and rescues both locally and nationally. For more information, visit their web-site at www.vaonj.org.
The VAO is located at 419 Cooper Road, in Voorhees.
