Evesham Police say citizen tip leads to surveillance that yields arrest for alleged distribution of drugs
Police say officers observed an 18-year-old Marlton male allegedly conduct a hand-to-hand drug transaction with a juvenile resident.
The following information is on file with the Evesham Township Police Department:
On Oct. 2, detectives from the Evesham Township Police Department observed alleged narcotic activity in the unit block of Forestview Court.
According to police, detectives were initially assigned to the undercover surveillance detail as a result of a tip from a concerned citizen.
During the investigation, police say officers assigned to the detail observed a resident and another Marlton male that were allegedly involved in a hand-to-hand drug transaction in front of a residence.
Police arrested each individual.
Arrested:
A male, age 18 of Marlton was charged with fourth-degree distribution of marijuana and disorderly persons offenses for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.
A juvenile male of Marlton was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released to family on a juvenile petition.
