The event consists of two separate one-day soccer festivals for U8 through U13 teams. Each U9 through U13 team is guaranteed three games in one day, while the U8s play two games.
The Kick or Treat festival is about a lot more than just soccer. All teams are encouraged to come in matching Halloween costumes. ot only will there be prizes for the best team costume and photos on our Halloween themed stage, but teams will be permitted to wear their costumes during the games provided that they are identical and the referee determines the costumes to be safe for the players and opponents. Players wear their team jersey under the costume for identification purposes. The team judged to have the best costumes on each day will receive a prize. Teams are also encouraged to set up a team compound in “Tent City” and decorate their tents. A prize will be awarded to the best decorated compound.
The festival will also feature a Halloween Activity Zone. The Pumpkin Zone will play host to a team pumpkin decorating contest. All teams are encouraged to decorate pumpkins in advance and bring them to the tournament. All team entries will be displayed and the team judged to have the best-decorated pumpkin by our committee of pumpkin decorating experts on each day will receive a prize.
The Activity Zone will feature several Halloween themed arts and crafts stations, as well as music from Blue Galaxy DJ to keep the energy flowing and there will be inflatables to help keep the little ones moving and shaking.
There will also be plenty of good food options. All proceeds from the food will support Cherry Hill West’s athletic booster clubs.
