“An Hour for You” allows caregivers to relax and mingle with other caregivers in the area.
The Arbor Terrace Mount Laurel senior living facility is hosting what Arbor Terrace officials describe as a different kind of support group offered to local members of the community.
Arbor Terrace officials say caregivers spend much of their time giving to others, to the point that caregivers may forget to take a moment for themselves.
With that in mind, caregivers are invited to join Arbor Terrace and other caregivers in the area for a series of special events where caregivers can try activities such as painting, crafting or yoga, all while still mingling with other caregivers in the area.
Instead of the “stereotypical” type of support group that meet over coffee, Arbor Terrace officials say the facility is trying to offer “fun and unique” events that allow caregivers to relax and try something new.
However, these groups will still have access to a licensed social worker if caregivers still just need that additional support.
Upcoming events will take place on the follow days:
- Painting with a Twist on Oct. 16th at 7 p.m. at Painting with a Twist Mt. Laurel, located at 127 Ark Road.
- Yoga Nidra with Jackie Fix on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at the Arbor Terrace Mt. Laurel Information Center, located at 785 Centerton Road.
- Holiday Centerpiece Making with Cocktails on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Arbor Terrace Mt. Laurel Information Center, located at 785 Centerton Road.
