Late last week, Cherry Hill Police announced a list of ongoing road projects in the township.
Cherry Hill Police have announced a number of construction projects that will impact traffic around the township in the coming weeks.
An ongoing projects on Hampton Road will continue for the next few months. The road will be closed in both directions between Chapel Avenue and the and the motor vehicle inspection station. Police say the closure will likely last through December, at which point one or both lanes may be re-opened until the entire project is completed.
Cuthbert Boulevard will have both inside lanes closed over the Cooper River between North Park and South Park Drives around the clock for about one month while bridge repairs are made. The outer lanes will remain open at all times.
Bridge repairs are also taking place on Grove Street at Park Boulevard. The northbound lane coming from Haddonfield into Cherry Hill will be closed around the clock for about another month.The southbound lanes exiting Cherry Hill into Haddonfield will remain open at all times.
PSE&G is continuing gas main work on Haddonfield-Berlin Road between I-295 and Brace Road, necessitating single- and double-lane closures for several more weeks Brace Road will also have periodic lane closures between Berlin Road and Kresson Road for this work as well as the gas mains are linked together underground.
Brace Road at Kresson Road will have its ongoing closure Monday to Thursday overnight detours suspended this week, with work resuming around Sept. 24. The project will take another two to three weeks to complete.
Finally, Cherry Hill Township is expected to embark on road resurfacing beginning in October. The work will take place on about 30 neighborhood roads in the township. Local detours will be posted, and emergency vehicles will have access through the work spaces most of the time. Any roads with immediate school impacts will be restricted to work times of 9 a.m. through 3Â p.m.
